Forbes + Mason creates cinematic documentary-led films for brands, destinations, and organizations with real stories to tell.

Commercial capability. Documentary nimbleness.

Forbes + Mason was built for projects that need both care and capability. After years on large commercial sets, we saw how much of the best work comes from small teams that work hard, care deeply, move quickly, and stay close to the people and places being filmed.

We bring commercial-level craft and cinematic quality to documentary-style films. Whether working direct-to-client or alongside agencies, we build small, senior teams around each project so clients stay close to the people shaping and making the work. The process stays personal, flexible, and focused, with more time, attention, and budget going toward the story, the shoot, and the final film.

Noah Forbes is a director and cinematographer who came up through the stills world. More than 15 years on set as a commercial photographer has shaped his approach to motion: the value of a single frame, natural lighting, and storytelling without overexplaining.

Raised in a small fishing village in Southeast Alaska and now based near Portland, Maine, Noah brings a natural feel for working places, food, travel, and stories grounded in real life.

Taylor Mason is a director of photography and aerial cinematographer who built his foundation in the camera department in New York City. Years spent on commercial, editorial, documentary, and aerial productions shaped his approach to the work: experienced, technical, calm under pressure, and always focused on his frame.

Originally from Washington and now based in Brooklyn, Taylor has filmed on every inhabited continent and in more than 50 countries, bringing a steady hand to everything from small documentary crews to complex commercial productions and demanding aerial work.
